Fair Day.

What a great day it turned out to be. For the few who may read this and don't know what fair Day is about, it's essentially One Huge Picnic in the early part of the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival. It's held in Victoria Park, Camperdown and people from all walks of life seem to show up.
I volunteered in the Medical Tent and became quite adept at applying Band-Aids to blisters on heels from ill fitting boots. The Medical Tent was directly across from the Bayswater Gym stall, where buff guys were handing out leaflets wearing shoes and skimpy shorts. I do have a great pic that I will share in a future post.
I met quite a few mates there, Rodney, Mark and Brendan were there, I ran into Josh, I met Simon and his man Chris and a mate whom I haven't seen for about 10 months, David the South African Jew (Absolutely no disrepect intended), he's a wonderful guy who has been ill lately and has been travelling to Israel and South Africa over the past months, so it was great to finally see him again.
After my volunteering duties were over, I quickly downed 7 much needed beers and with Stefan, Rodney, Mark and Brendan we headed to The Bank Hotel for some dinner. The Thai food there is exquisite, while the youngins continued to drink, Stefan and I went back to his place to watch TV, I wanted to catch some "So you think you can dance" and Stefan likes to watch Brothers and Sisters.

The weekend was overall a great one. On Saturday, I drove down to Kangaroo Valley to watch a Dog show. Gwen, the lady who bred my two female Miniature Bull Terriers was there with some Dachshunds and a Male Miniature Bull Terrier. Due to the two breeds clashing on the show program, I showed "Butch" for her, he didn't get Best of Breed but showed quite well, I'm going to show him for her at the Sydney Royal Easter Show this year.
It was a nice day, not too hot and the rain held off. I won't go into my poor navigating, I still can't believe that I got lost getting there and going home, but both times, I found myself surrounded by beautiful green undulating pastures with trees and many cattle. I did find my way home eventually. I hired 2 movies to watch, the first on I had seen previously, it's a Swedish movie called "As it is in Heaven" lets just say it's very emotive and I'm glad that I was home alone as it turned into Tear Fest 2008, since stopping me Anti-Depressants, I'm so much more emotional, I've cried 3 times over the past 6 weeks, I hadn't cried since 2001 and before that I hadn't cried since I was 8 years old. The second movie was sad but quite enjoyable, it was called "Year of the Dog" despite Molly Shannon being the lead character, it was not a comedy, it was a movie that I didn't anticipate would be good but I didn't expect it would be bad, I really enjoyed it.
A great weekend was had, I'm grateful for the life that i have, I'm one lucky person.

Drawn Together.

I have finally received my DVD's from OUTDVD.com.au and I couldn't be happier. I love the series, what can I say, I am the biggest fan of comedy with one somewhat healthy but warped sense of humour. The escapism is essential, last night after months of Evan and I reliving certain series (Our mutual favourite is the one where Ling Ling visits the DMV to get his lisence) we watched 7 episodes last night, it was fantastic, and strangely, I'm sure it brought us a little closer. I also received the DVD Cruising, a movie that Al Pachino made in 1980, he played an Undercover cop who enters the San Fransisco "Leather Scene" to find a serial Killer. A great movie, one that my Aunty hired on Video while my Brother and I were visiting during the Summer Holidays when I was only 12. She thought the "Cruising" related to some story about Sailing, despite the "Adult Themes" nobody turned the Video off or asked us to leave the room, in a way it scarred me for life but not necessarily in a bad way.

Hope all is well with anybody who choses to read the Blog. In a way it will become something of a personal diary.

A New Begining.

What a difference a few days make.
I've been in a bit of a rutt lately. I have the best boyfriend in the world, one whom I possibly have taken for granted but not for self gain, but to save the guy from wasting his time with a loser.
It might sound odd, labeling myself a loser, but I'm a very intelligent person who has probably made my life more difficult than it has to be. I'm not a bad person but whether it be genetics or simply stupidity, I have wasted alot of time and money on futile persuits.
A few things have really pulled me into line over the past week.
1. I Ceased taking my SSRI medication. It was time, my life was for all intents and purposes going sailingly. It's a complex story, one of War experience and seeing suffering that I didn't, ignorantly, believe existed these days.
2. The love of my Boyfriend, it was never doubted but it has been constant throughout the biggest challenges, he is the Love of my Life.
3. A night with "Synrgy", he's an amazing guy, soooo sexy but so real. He sufferred at my feet (Not literally). I have a huge place in my heart for him and Sh@ney!!!!
4. My great mate Johan from Sweden whom I called tonight to "Come Out" to, he was fine, he is such an amazing person, when he and his family come to Australia, they will be so well looked after.
5. A great mate of mine Jayson allows me to realise that life is not perfect. Why he is not in an amazing relation shows that people are missing out on The Perfect Guy. He's a great friend. I truely love him.
6. Brechi, an awesome Lawyer from NYC, with a BF also from NYC both of whom are so Honest and real.
I am starting up a Blog again.
Hope you like it, comment either way.
